Agroforestry is a specific farming technique that entails the deliberate intercropping of arboriculture and agriculture (arable land and/or pastures) in the same area, where they integrate and interact, with mutual benefits for them and for the environment.
Until the 1950/60s, these systems were the most common form of agricultural exploitation in our climate area. With the development of agricultural mechanization and the related tendency to monocultures, around the half of the 20the century, these systems were almost totally abandoned, except in those areas less suitable for intensive farming.

It is important to underline that modern agroforestry, or rather the drive to go back to this abandoned agricultural practice, is not trying to replace current modern farming techniques; it should be integrated with them, to improve productivity and economic benefits, in a view of sustainable profit.
When we returned to this farming system, the main and more obvious benefits we noticed were an increase of biodiversity and the improved soil fertility, as well as erosion protection ensured by the tree trip roots system. And also an increase of overall productivity and of the carbon stored in our lands, and, last but not least, a significant improvement of the company landscape.

less kg of Co2 every year in the atmosphere, thanks to our agroforestry systems
Only an insensitive soul is not magically attracted by the beauty of a farming environment in harmony with the nature that houses it and surrounds it, where business logic and respect for nature are equally important. An agroforestry company is the perfect combination of both.
In an agroforestry company, current and very much abused concepts, such as ecology and economy, sustainability and biodiversity, perfectly coexist in a marvellously harmonious ensemble.
BACK TO THE FUTURE toward a true sustainable profit.
